Pronatura develops a groundbreaking methodology for inventorying biodiversity rich Sacred Natural Sites of indigenous peoples.

The Bio-Cultural Conservation Unit of Pronatura Mexico, in partnership with IUCN-The World Conservation Union, has developed a methodological approach for systematically inventorying Sacred Natural Sites using, as a starting point, an analysis of ecosystem and habitat types.

Environmental Restauration of the Colorado River.

The Yuma Crossing Heritage Area and Pronatura Northwest present the Bi-National Action Plan to restore the wetlands in the limitrophe area between the states of Arizona and Baja California. Both organizations have been collaborating since 2007 in a bi-national effort to develop an ambitious project to restore wetlands in both sides of the border, and which considers, besides the environmental aspects, issues of border security and sustainable development for the region’s communities.
